Go Pro 4 - Why Use Articles?
This is the fourth installment in the Go Pro in 2007
series. If you missed any of the first 3, they're archived
here:
Go Pro 1 - Hosting, Blogs, Opt-in Lists, More...
Go Pro 2 - Lifetime Web Hosting, Resell Rights Products
Go Pro 3 - Getting Free Targetted Traffic
In Part 3, I showed you how to write articles in
about 5 minutes each - let's say 10 per hour, shall we?
So right now, pull out your schedule and map out two
hours a week that you'll use for writing your articles.
Be sure to pick a time each week that tends to be
quiet & relaxed - or can be made that way for you.
Each week, you'll make a list of the articles you want
to write, then check each one of in order as you finish
them. This is something you can do each and every
week to build your online biz and your returns
without needing to spend a cent...
But why should you? One, it gives you fresh, new,
UNIQUE content for your site on a regular basis.
Because it keeps your site growing, the engines will
be back to index it much more frequently, meaning
you get the pages indexed that much more quickly.
And more pages in the engines means more bait to
bring eyeballs and wallets to your site.
Secondly, more content on your site means more for
your visitors when they get there - more likelyhood
they'll find some content of interest to them, and better
to establish yourself as an expert in the field, which
adds to your credibility and can mean higher
conversions - more returns from your existing
traffic. AND there's a higher chance they'll bookmark
your site and return if they know it's updated
regularly. (Have a reminder to bookmark the site!)
Thirdly, not all of the articles will be for your own site -
choose maybe 5 of each week's 20 and use them instead
to send to the article directories. There are a number
of them online, and they all accept articles with a
'resource box' at the end telling a bit about the author
and including a link to - you guessed it - your site!
Don't skip this step - it's crucial! First, the busier
directories are indexed daily by the engines, and every
article you have there is another one-way link to your
site. Then, everyone reading the articles there sees your
link, and can click it to check out your site. Plus, the
reason for the directories is so that other site owners
can find articles to use - and every one who uses your
article must include your resource box - and your link -
on their site as well! It's easy to see how a great article
can become very viral very quickly - and the obvious
returns it can bring you - again, without spending a cent.
There are two ways you can place your articles with the
directories - you can find them through searches & go to
each, or use a program to help you. Here's a great one to
check out:
Submit Your Articles Using This Powerful Submitter
The two best things about this one are that it:
a) Comes pre-loaded with over 100 directories
worth sending your articles to, and
b) gives you the ability to edit the list of directories
in it - delete those no longer usable and add in new
ones you find.
The former will save you a ton of time, obviously,
while the latter is even more important. We've all
got similar programs that are no good anymore
because they relied on sites that no longer exist,
changed their login procedures, etc. With this article
submitter, it's easy for you to adjust the list and
stay right on top of it all! Don't sweat it out the
hard way - download it now:

The other main use for your articles is to build passive
returns using AdSense, affiliate links and the like - so
that's what we'll tackle tomorrow in Go Pro in 2007
